Scope and launch status
This notice covers information handled through dopetech.au and communications that refer to it. “DopeTech”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of this website. It does not govern a retailer, YouTube, an affiliate network or another website reached through a link.
Information and where it comes from

Please do not post secrets, identity documents, private contact details or sensitive personal information in a public review.
Why information may be used
- Deliver pages, requested accounts, alerts and community features.
- Authenticate users; prevent spam, fraud, manipulation and security abuse.
- Moderate contributions and enforce community rules.
- Respond to enquiries, corrections, privacy requests and vulnerability reports.
- Measure reliability and understand aggregated use so the service can improve.
- Attribute affiliate activity and administer disclosed commercial arrangements.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where applicable law requires consent for a use or storage technology, that use should remain off until valid consent is obtained. We do not describe personal information as “anonymous” unless it has been transformed so a person is not reasonably identifiable.
Retention and protection
Records should be kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, security, dispute handling, backups and legal obligations. Retention periods vary: short-lived server logs and sessions need not be kept as long as account records, published contributions or financial records. Specific schedules will be documented as production systems are configured.
Administrative, technical and physical safeguards should be proportionate to risk. No internet service can promise absolute security. See the security and vulnerability reporting page.
Access, correction and other choices
Depending on applicable law and the context, you may ask to access or correct personal information, delete an account, object to or restrict some processing, withdraw consent, or complain. Identity verification may be required, and lawful exceptions can apply. You can also unsubscribe using a message link and adjust browser or on-site consent settings.
For a request, state what you want, the account or email involved, and your country or Australian state/territory so the relevant rights can be assessed. Do not email passwords or identity documents unless a secure method has been agreed.
Children
DopeTech is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot validly consent under applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied such information can request review and removal.
